AUGUST 11: First Den Meeting/All Pack Informational meeting
· Last half of the Den Meeting will be an informational meeting about the new scouting program and awards as well as introductions
AUGUST 25: First Pack Meeting/Scout Night recruiting
· Each Den will present a part of scouting to share with the Pack and interested new recruits
· Try to bring at least one friend with you to this Pack Meeting!!!!
SEPT 25-27: SURVIVAL FOR DUMMIES (FALL CAMPOUT)
· Family camping with Adventure oriented activities
· Activities will begin after dinner at 6 on Friday and end on Sunday at 1
· Location: Tres Brisas Ranch in Camp Verde
OCTOBER 24: “CHILDREN OF THE CORN..MAZE” (PUMPKIN PICKING AND BONFIRE)
· Bonfire, corn maze, jumping pillow, petting zoo, and more!
· The pack will provide hotdogs and s’mores to cook over the fire and each family will bring a supplementary item for dinner
· Location: Tolmachoff Farms 5726 N 75th Avenue, Glendale, 85303
· Time: 3pm-???
· Cost: $12/person ages 2 and up. Includes a pumpkin per person or $8 without a pumpkin
NOVEMBER 10: “WATER: ESSENTIAL FOR SURVIVAL” WATER TOUR
· Tour of the City of Phoenix water plant
· Time TBA
NOVEMBER 18: “HELPING THE HOMELESS SURVIVE” (COLLECTING WATER AND FOOD FOR THE HOMELESS)
· Please bring a food item and/or case of water to donate to the homeless
· We will be packing bags for the homeless (Helping the Homeless One Bag at a Time)
DECEMBER 8: “SURVIVING AS ANGELS” (ANGEL TREE ADOPTION EVENT)
· Meet at Walmart at 79th Ave and Peoria at 6pm · Shop for Angel Tree children using ½ of the funds raised at the cake auction
DECEMBER 12: “CAKE BOSS: SURVIVAL EDITION” (CAKE AUCTION)
· Scouts (and siblings) will design, bake, and decorate a cake that is 100% edible
· Theme: Survival
· Half of the money earned from the auction will go to the Pack and half will go towards Xmas tree adoption angels
· Location: American Legion
DECEMBER 15: “SURVIVING CHRISTMAS” CHRISTMAS PARTY
· Meet at the church for activities, cookie decorating, and a visit from good old St. Nick
· Tigers=bring a dozen cookies/scout Wolves=bring sprinkles
· Bears=bring frosting Webelos=bring a dozen cookies/scout
· Decorated cookies will be eaten and the extras will be donated to a fire station
JAN 23: “READY, AIM, FIRE!” (ROCKET DAY)
· Scouts (and siblings) will build a model rocket that is completely dry and ready before the event
· Rocket engine sizes A and B are the ONLY sizes that are permitted at this event
· Parent supervision at all times is required at this event
· Location: Adobe Mountain Railroad 23280 N 43rd Ave, Glendale, 85310
· Time: 1-4
FEB 7: SCOUT SUNDAY
· Contact the head of your church to arrange how you can help on this day at service
· Be sure to wear your uniform to church and let Chuck or Holly know afterwards
FEB 20: “SURVIVOR” (BLUE AND GOLD)
· Arrive on the set of the TV show “Survivor” and be prepared to play the game!
· Blue & Gold is a way to thank the adults that allow our Pack to operate as well as celebrate Cub Scout’s birthday
· Location: Church field
· Time: 2-6
FEB 23: PACK MEETING--SPRING CRAFTS
· We will be doing a variety of Spring crafts for our visit to the retirement home
MARCH 8: “SPRING INTO SURVIVAL” (CAROLLING AT RETIREMENT HOME)
· Wear class A uniforms to sing a few songs and hand out spring crafts
· Location: Casa Del Rio 94th Ave and Thunderbird, Sun City
· Time: 6-7
MARCH 26: “SPEEDING TO SURVIVAL” PINEWOOD DERBY
· Purchase a PWD kit from Hobby Lobby or the Scout Shop (unless you received one at an event beforehand)
· Following standard guidelines, build and decorate the car to be ready for the race
· Location: Wazee’s World 9750 W Peoria, 85345
· Time: 1-4
APRIL 9: “SURVIVE THE DAY” (SELF DEFENSE DAY)
· We will learn about stranger danger, bike safety, and first aid from guest speakers
· Location: church
· Time: 1-4
APRIL 30: “I SURVIVED FUNDRAISING” INCENTIVE PARTY
· Any Cub Scout that participated in popcorn or Camp Cards will be rewarded by the Pack

MAY 6-8: “SAVE YOURSELF” CAMPOUT
· Family campout to celebrate the year and bond as families through badge oriented activities
· Location: Eagle Ridge Campground in Prescott
· Time: Activities will start after dinner at 7 and end on Sunday at 12
