 Why are we called a "Family of Units"??
Because our Family includes a Pack, a Troop and a Venture Crew
In essence, (within the age ranges) every member of your family, can be a member of our Family.
We also specialize in serving our special needs or as we say our "differently-abled" family members.

 Pack 229 meets on Tuesday evenings at Kachina Elementary School located in Glendale, AZ
Troop 229 and Crew 2229 meet on Thursday evenings at both Kachina Elementary School and the Glendale/Peoria YMCA.

Scouting and Venturing is a great program to get the whole family off of the couch and outside.
So where does it all begin?

Boys in grades kindergarten through 5 start in the Cub Scouts of America program.
Yes we said kindergarten! Scouting has a new Lion pilot program for boys in kindergarten. 
Boys in grade 6 and up go into Boy Scouts. 
Young men can also be dual registered as a Venturing Crew member from age 14 to 21.
Young ladies can be members of our Venturing Crew from ages 14 to 21.
