What makes a trained leader? Thought you knew? Guess what? Requirements have
changed again! As we all know, all leaders must turn in a YPT certification with their
application and this training is good for 2 years. Now to be a fully trained leader, all
leaders need to be Position Specific Trained, that's it! Nothing else. No more “This is
Scouting” or leader position fast start. (It is always a good idea to take “This is Scouting”.)
National provides on
-line training to meet recharter requirements but strongly recommends that regardless of on-line training, training be done at our In-person District trainings; they are fun, informative, and leave you more capable of leading a den of active boys!
