Can’t Wait to Get Girls into Girl Scouting!

SU Elect Delegates at Nov mtg
A Delegate Authorization Form with the delegate nominations we received for your SU will be delivered via your Community Development Specialist. Please elect them at your November Service Unit meeting by asking for a voice vote or a show of hands. Sign the bottom of the form and return.
Troop Retirement
Troops who have not re-registered will receive a letter regarding the retirement of the troop. Do you have any troops who have not yet re-registered but plan to? Remind them to register ASAP! Do you know of troops that are not re-registering this year? Be sure to have a plan on how to contact the girls in those troops and offer them ways to stay involved in Girl Scouting. Many times we lose girls because the troop leadership have decided not to continue and the girls don't know how to find other troops or know they can join through camp, event, or Be a Friend series (6th-8th graders) pathways.
Adult Recognition
Have you thought about volunteers who have gone the extra mile? Nominate them to receive an award at the 2014 spring C.A.R.E adult recognition ceremonies. The Council Recognition Plan contains details on all the awards available. Deadline to submit nominations and endorsement letters is February 14.
