Troop 20 Heads to Snow Country
The scouts of Troop 20 will be going camping the weekend of 2/27 thru 3/1
at TL Storer Scout Camp in Barnstead, NH.
The troop has reserved a cabin for the weekend and
their wish for snow has been more than fulfilled.
Plans for the weekend are to go tubing and/or
snow shoeing at camp. The scouts are planning their menu.
I hope it includes some good old favorites like mac and cheese,
franks and beans or beef stew.
These meals bring back a lot of good memories of past camping trips,
frozen wet clothing, choking campfire smoke and
hauling water for miles back to camp. Oh how I miss it!
So, scouts, start packing your gear and remember to dress in layers and
that wool and fleece are your best friend in clothing.
