TROOP 20 LENDS A HAND TO EVERETT FIREFIGHTERS
Just before Christmas, members of Boy Scout Troop 20 were called upon to
lend a hand to setting up food baskets for distribution to families
needing a helping hand during the Christmas holiday.
The Everett Fire Department, in conjunction with Stop & Shop of Everett,
has committed to doing the best that can be done for those families.
Together, Troop 20, Everett Fire Department, and Stop & Shop
put together enough bags to feed 100 families during the holiday season!
The scouts and leaders of Troop 20 feel excited to help in this good turn---
after all the Scout Motto is, "Do A Good Turn Daily".
Troop 20 has been established in Everett since it's first charter in 1947,
and we are still dedicated to the long time ideals of helping boys mature into young men
of character and leadership, as instituted by Lord Baden-Powell of England in 1907.
Troop 20 is sponsored by the Immaculate Conception Parish.
We meet on Thursday nights, and are open to new members of all faiths,
and nationalities. Boys should be at least 11 years old. Any questions
about our troop may be answered by calling Scoutmaster Adam Mendonca
at 617-968-3412, or Committee Member Mike Piazza at 617-389-5546,
or checking out the troop website---
