Uniforms

Troop 324 urges the wearing of a complete and correct Scout uniform for all Scouts and Adult Leaders. The Scout uniform proclaims one’s membership in the largest voluntary youth movement in the world. The Scout uniform tends to diminish the importance of an individual’s financial, social, and ethnic background, while clearly showing his degree of accomplishment in Scouting. At the same time, the uniform maintains one’s individuality since no two uniforms are completely alike, and they show off that individual’s Scouting achievements. The best place to purchase Scouting items is at the Scout Shop located at the BSA Headquarters. The Troop also has a limited supply of experienced Uniform items which are outgrown uniform parts donated for our uniform exchange.

Class “A” or Field Uniform

The class “A” uniform may be worn at all meetings, any official Scouting function and any other activity as determined by the Scoutmaster. The standard Troop 324 class “A” uniform consists of the following components (underlined Uniform items will be provided by the troop):

*Official BSA Boy Scout Hat

*Official BSA trousers or shorts

*BSA belt & buckle

*Troop neckerchief

*any neckerchief slide

*BSA red topped socks

*Merit badge sash

*Arrow of light (if earned)

*Council shoulder patch

*Purple World Scout Crest

*Troop numbers “324”
